BARN RULES
1. All Boarders must complete and sign a release of liability form, and a boarding contract, INCLUDING OWNERSHIP CLAUSE(S). It is the responsbility of the boarder to be aware of any changes in policy including boarding fee increases. Boarding fees are subject to change with limited notice due to increases in hay, gasoline and grain expenses. Notice will be sent to boarders and prominently displayed at Gaylord Equestrian Center when prices change.
2. Board is due upon the 1st of each month. On the 5th day a $25.00 late fee, per horse, will be charged. If, after 60 days, no payments have been made, Gaylord Equestrian Center will place a lien on each horse boarded by the individual on record, as being the owner of that horse. In the event that a lien is placed on any horse, any multiple horse discounts are null and void. Any attempt to remove any horse with a lien will result in criminal trespass charges.
3. Thirty day written notice of termination is required.
4. If boarder chooses to leave in the middle of the month, Board is due for the entire month, including any late fees.
5. The Gaylord Equestrian Center is open to boarders until 10:00 pm unless special permission is given.
6. Smoking is prohibited on the Gaylord Equestrian Center premises. Violation of this rule is grounds for termination.
7. Drugs and Alcohol use will result in immediate termination.
8. The speed limit is 5 mph.
9. Horses are not to be fed extra feed at any time. Upon request, for an additional charge, extra feed will be given. This includes hay.
10. Veterinarian and farrier services are solely the owners responsibility.
11. Horses may stay inside if weather is extremely cold.
12. Every person including, but not limited to, family and friends must sign a release of liability form with the Gaylord Equestrian Center before riding.
13. Children are to be supervised at all times. No running is allowed in any part of the barn and the observation room is not a play room. Boarders are required to clean up after themselves and their guests.
14. Boarders who are going out of town for any reason are required to call and leave emergency number lists.
15. Turn out all lights when not in use. Failure to do so will result in a $25.00 fine per incident.. Those boarders wishing to have 24 hour light will be charged an additional fee.
16. All boarders are responsible for cleaning up after themselves and their horses in stalls, wash racks, the kitchen and aisle way. Failure to do so will result in $25.00 fine per incident.
17. Empty all liquids before disposing of the containers.
18. All rooms must be locked upon leaving.
19. DO NOT use any tack belonging to the Gaylord Equestrian Center or the other boarders without permission.
20. Boarders are responsible for any damages that their horse may cause, including but not limited to, stalls, cross ties, wash rack, lawn and fencing. The cost of supplies and labor to make repairs will be billed to the horse's owner.
21. Boarders/Family/Friends/Guests shall not go in any stall that is not theirs and attempt to train or handle horses that are not owned by them.
22. Do not hand feed any other horse but your own.
23. The Gaylord Equestrian Center is not responsible for property left by boarders, agents, frends, or family.
24. Horses are not to be tied to the fences, stall doors or benches.
25. Horses are not to be ridden through the barn.
26. When riding on asphalt., walk only.
27. During cold weather, all doors must be shut when exiting and entering the barn.
28. No loose horses in the arena.
29. Please clean up after your horse when finished in the arena.
